Let’s start with a story.

Believe it or not, I made this chair myself.
Hello there!
I’m Yorens Malonda—a senior ad agency creative, a jack of all trades (which I’d argue still beats being a master of just one), and probably the okayest okay creative you’ll want to work with.

My love for advertising didn’t hit me all at once. If anything, it started with a strange kind of fascination. I still remember watching that Bentoel cigarette ad as a kid—the one with Andy Williams singing “I Love the Blue of Indonesia.” Not the most age-appropriate moment of inspiration, sure, but it left a mark.
Fast forward to my uni years in Sydney: one afternoon, the Carlton Draught – Big Ad came on TV. It was big, ridiculous, unforgettable. I knew I liked it—but I didn’t fully understand why.
Back in Indonesia, I landed my first internship at SaatchiLAB (a regional arm of Saatchi & Saatchi), and that’s when the spark turned into a fire. From there, I dove into the fast-paced world of OneComm Indonesia—a nimble local agency that threw me into the deep end, which turned out to be exactly where I grew. I even had a stint at Edelman, the global PR powerhouse, before finding my long-time creative home at Ogilvy Indonesia.
Today, with over a decade of experience behind me, I’m still tinkering with briefs, building stories, and chasing that perfect balance between insight and execution. Beneath the playful surface, I’m a hardcore pragmatist—believing that creativity should always serve a purpose.
At the heart of every great campaign is great storytelling—and that’s where I come in. Whether it’s a heartfelt film, a cheeky visual, or a social post that gets people talking, I focus on telling stories that stick. Because when the story works, everything else falls into place.
I’ve handled clients across every corner of the board: CIMB, BRI Syariah, BCA, Panasonic, Coca-Cola, Indofood, Nestlé, Unilever... just to name a few.
And when I’m not busy crafting campaigns, you’ll probably find me photographing my dangerously expanding action figure collection, indulging in my latest K-pop obsession (I don’t care what you say, NewJeans still reigns supreme), or just living my best life as a 90s kid who never quite grew out of it.
Thanks for stopping by.
